Indian Meal Moth

Indian meal moths are 1/3 inches length. The color varies from bronze, copper to yellowish-gray. The larvae are white with brown heads. They are feeding usually with crops or similar products, as bread, pasta, rice, cereals, nuts or dried fruits.

The Indian meal moths are difficult to get rid of by using only traditional methods. One method of eradicating a Indian meal moth is heating in a microwave or freezing it. Washing infestation spots with soap water and vinegar is an effective way to eliminate it.
