Crickets

Cricket is medium-sized, 1 to 2 inches long insect that can be found through the world. The body shape is cylindrical; the head is spherical with  long antennae. The back pair of legs is greatly enlarged for jumping.

Crickets are best known by the sound they produce in the evening. They are active during the night. Most crickets are black, brown, red or green. Most male crickets chirp by rubbing their front wings together. This noise may disturb people during the night, if they stay too close to source.
