Fleas

Fleas are small insects with mouth adapted for sucking blood by piercing the skin. Fleas are agile, dark colored, they have long legs, their hind legs are adapted for jumping about 150 times over their own height. They are considered external parasites, which consume the blood of mammals and birds, in particular cats, dogs, humans, chickens, rats, mice and squirrels.

The most common known fleas are Cat fleas, Dog fleas and Human fleas. The bite causes soreness and itching sensation, which can last up to few weeks. Fleas presence can lead to hair loss as a result of heavy scratching.
